With summer underway you may be looking for some cool events to attend. So, if you are currently based in the Bay Area — or looking for a road trip — keep reading! After all, there’s nothing better than a street fair to make for an exciting weekend. Here is The Daily Clog’s list of a few to check out this summer.

Haight Street Fair San Francisco

This festival located in the Haight-Ashbury District of San Francisco is June 12. It features everything from live music to six blocks of art and food vendors. And the best part? Admission is completely free! For more information feel free to browse its official website here

FoodieLand Night Market

Popular among UC Berkeley students, the FoodieLand Night Market is making its comeback. This market is booked for two weekends starting Aug. 5.  Located on 1100 Eastshore Highway, FoodieLand is destined to melt your worries away. The event features different booths with a variety of food options from different cultures. Similar to the Haight Street Fair, it also has live music and vendors. The only difference is that this event includes carnival games! To buy tickets, click here.

Chocolate & Chalk Art Festival

The 23rd annual Chocolate and Chalk Art Festival is Aug. 13 in North Berkeley. This festival features an art contest where local artists have the opportunity to win a $150 prize. In order to do so though, contestants’ chalk art must tally up the most votes. If you aren’t much of an artist, there is also chocolate tasting, crafts, vendors and food. To learn more about the event and to sign up for the art contest, check it out here.

Temescal Street Fair

For those looking for a street fair closer to campus look no further! On June 12, the 17th annual Temescal Street Fair is happening along our beloved Telegraph Avenue. The event will include live music, special programming from businesses along Telegraph Avenue and pop-up vendors. The same street we take to lectures will be transformed into a place of fun for one day only. For more information, here is the link to its website.

North Beach Festival

North Beach Festival will be held in San Francisco starting June 18. This is one of SF’s biggest street fairs with more than 20 food vendors, live music and about 100 art vendors. For more information on the different ceremonies and events the North Beach Festival will have this year, visit this website.

We hope you have a lot of fun attending some of the events on this list and make the most out of your summer here in the Bay!
