Summer is here for UC Berkeley students and many are already heading back home for the next few months. There are an unlimited number of things you can do in the summer sun, but one can be easily overwhelmed by all the choices. Do I go to the pool? Hit the gym? Stay in front of my AC unit until school starts? Take this quiz to find out what you should do this summer!

  1. How was finals week for you?
    1. A breeze
    2. I contemplated dropping out every day
    3. Rockier than my past relationships
    4. Let’s not talk about it
  2. I cannot live without:
    1. My friends
    2. An internet connection
    3. French fries
    4. $6 coffee orders
  3. What movie are you excited to see this summer?
    1. “Jurassic World: Dominion”
    2. “Thor: Love and Thunder”
    3. “Lightyear”
    4. “Nope”
  4. You associate “summer” with:
    1. Sweat
    2. The sun
    3. Adventures
    4. Sunscreen
  5. Pick your favorite season:
    1. Summer
    2. Spring
    3. Autumn
    4. Winter
  6. We should change the UC Berkeley mascot to:
    1. A squirrel
    2. The crying emoji
    3. A personified Campanile
    4. A jaywalker
  7.   Results
    1. Go to the beach! Time to ditch the indoors and tan on the sand. If you’re not the beach’s biggest fan, throw a picnic with friends or read a book under an umbrella. Breathe in the seaside air and relax.
    2. Camping. Cut yourself off from society and go into the wilderness. Camping is a great way to reconnect with nature and get on a social media break. Don’t forget to bring bug repellent!
    3. Road trip! Plane tickets to Cabo too expensive? Get some friends in a car and drive to any destination. Pack some snacks, stop to pee every so often and start making that road trip playlist of your dreams.
    4. Focus on yourself. The academic year is stressful enough so use this summer as a time to recharge. Get into some old hobbies, eat healthier or pick up journaling. This is definitely a Recharged Girl Summer!
    5. Go with the flow! Sometimes, planning isn’t your thing and you love being spontaneous. Tackle each day and its challenges, while seeing what these next few months will bring. You might be surprised by what’s in store.

The characters did have a good reason to worry about their surroundings and environment: something or someone was going after them. There might be a few people going after me, but they aren’t as spooky as Freddy Kreuger or a cult in an isolated village. I was worrying about turning in my homework on time.
