Less than one day after wide receiver Trevon Clark declared for the 2022 NFL draft, Cal lost yet another star of its receiving corps: Nikko Remigio.

Remigio announced his entry into the transfer portal as a graduate transfer via Twitter.

The senior team captain has been an integral part of the Bears’ offense since 2018 after recording 903 receiving yards and seven touchdown grabs. Remigio’s breakout season came in 2019, in which he racked up 513 yards on 38 receptions. In 2021, Remigio earned a second consecutive honorable mention by the Pac-12 for his prowess as a kickoff returner. With 29.1 yards per reception, Remigio ranked second in the conference and 11th nationally for kickoff return average.
