UCPD arrests man on suspicion of controlled substance possession

Lawrence Allen Dillon was arrested by UCPD officers on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance Thursday afternoon at People's Park. UCPD officers found Dillon allegedly in possession of 28.6 grams of suspected methamphetamine wrapped in 18 packages.

On Thursday afternoon, UCPD officers arrested Lawrence Allen Dillon on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance at People’s Park.

UCPD officers arrived at the park at 4:44 p.m. and found Dillon, a 36-year-old man, allegedly in possession of 28.6 grams of suspected methamphetamine wrapped in 18 packages, according to UCPD Sgt. Jonathan Caires.

Dillon was also arrested on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia and battery after a woman was sent to a local hospital with no visible injuries, Caires added.
