Robbery occurs at International House, UCPD reports

Update 04/16/21: This story has been updated with new information from UCPD spokesperson Lt. Sabrina Reich.

UCPD is actively investigating a strong-arm robbery that occurred Thursday afternoon in front of the International House, according to UCPD spokesperson Lt. Sabrina Reich.

At 1:40 p.m., the suspect approached an adult female student and forcibly took their laptop, Reich said. The suspect then fled to a waiting vehicle described as a “white sedan” and was last seen traveling northbound on Piedmont Avenue and Gayley Road, according to Reich.

Reich urged anyone with information about the crime to contact UCPD at (510) 642-6760.
