Spring is upon us with all of its beautiful pastels, blooming flowers and sunshine. I love letting the seasons influence my food choices because each season brings new flavors and colors. These three smoothies are the perfect example of this; they’re not only delicious, but they fit the spring aesthetic perfectly. You can also take them to the next level by making them into thick smoothie bowls topped with granola, sliced fruit, coconut shreds or honey — whatever your heart desires!

Lilac smoothie

Ingredients

  • ½ cup strawberries (frozen, if possible)
  • ½ cup blueberries (frozen, if possible)
  • ½ banana (frozen, if possible)
  • 1 cup milk of choice
  • ½ cup yogurt of choice

Baby Pink smoothie

Ingredients

  • ½ cup strawberries (frozen, if possible)
  • ½ cup raspberries (frozen, if possible)
  • ⅓ cup frozen cauliflower (you won’t taste it!)
  • 1 banana (frozen, if possible)
  • 1 cup milk of choice
  • ½ cup yogurt of choice

Sage green smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 banana (frozen, if possible)
  • 1 cup spinach
  • ½ cup frozen cauliflower
  • 1 cup milk of choice
  • ½ cup yogurt of choice
  • A couple of mint leaves (optional, but highly recommended)

Instructions

  1. For each smoothie, simply add all ingredients into a blender. Blend the mixture until it reaches your desired consistency. The fruits will blend to create a beautiful color, but if you want a more pastel tone, you can add more milk or yogurt.

There’s nothing like a refreshing smoothie on a warm spring day; plus, these recipes require minimal effort and are ready in just a few minutes. Hopefully, these aesthetically pleasing blends will serve as the perfect way to start your day or take a study break as we power through finals and towards summer!
