- You should video chat with a friend! The new mantra is “social distancing, not social isolation.” Virtual communication will never replace some good old-fashioned face-to-face interaction, but it will have to do for now. Call them up and reminisce about all the things you miss in Berkeley!
- You should try yoga! If you have internet access, there are so many free beginner yoga videos on YouTube. Take a few minutes to stretch your body, clear your head and relax. You’ll thank yourself later.
- You should go through your closet and make a pile of clothes you want to donate! Now that you have to be at home, it’s a perfect time to do some spring cleaning. Do it Marie Kondo-style: If a certain pair of jeans doesn’t bring you joy now, it probably never will.
- You should have a spa day! Sitting at home means you don’t have to look presentable. Not caring about how you look can be liberating, but sometimes you need a pick-me-up because how you look can affect how you feel. Spending some time sitting in a face mask or plucking your eyebrows is an excellent way to get out of the monotony and show yourself some love!
