The winter holiday season means it’s time to wrap up another amazing year. It’s a time to remind ourselves of the gratitude we feel for the people we love, and it doesn’t hurt to have fun while doing so. Here are some of the best holiday events held throughout the Bay Area to attend with your family and friends!

Emperor Norton’s Holiday Bazaar (San Francisco)

Emperor Norton’s Holiday Bazaar is the perfect event to go to with your family and celebrate the joyous holidays. With classic holiday decorations, cozy resting spaces, unique gifts for purchase, soul-warming food and live performances, this event is the iconic holiday experience for your community! It’s free, but you have to RSVP on the event website to get your tickets. Hurry before they run out!

See the Christmas tree at Union Square (San Francisco)

It’s never too early to set up a Christmas tree during the holiday season. Every year, Union Square celebrates its Great Tree Lighting for the entire Bay Area to witness. Unfortunately, while this event happened on Nov. 29, you can now go see the tree lit up at night for free. This year’s reusable tree is 83 feet tall and will feature more than 40,000 lights and 700 ornaments. Now that’s a crazy tree you have to see!

Night Bloom at the Conservatory of Flowers (San Francisco)

Lights definitely create a more holiday-like and cozy feel for people during this jolly season. For only six weeks, the Conservatory of Flowers in Golden Gate Park will boast its extravagant lighting decorations in an exhibit called “Night Bloom”! Immerse yourself in the holiday spirit by attending this event. You won’t regret it when you see the illuminated and captivating galleries.

Girl Gang Craft Oakland Holiday Market (Oakland)

Girl Gang Craft was founded to help local women find a voice and educate themselves on how to become leaders. The organization is hosting its annual holiday market on Dec. 14, where you can shop from more than 120 artists and brands! The market will feature art, ceramics, jewelry, apparel, a DJ and a bar. Its feminist clothing line is available in inclusive sizing and includes the Uterus collection, which collects 10% of sales for Planned Parenthood.

Annual Holiday Pop-Up at Makers Workspace (Berkeley)

The Annual Holiday Pop-Up at Makers Workspace is a great way to celebrate the holidays while also supporting local artists. There will be a variety of unique gifts, including craft kits, jewelry, art and screen printed tees! If you’re looking for one-of-a-kind gifts for your friends and family, this pop-up is the place to go.

These are only a few of the holiday events happening in the Bay Area. Everyone loves the holidays, so make sure to go out and enjoy some of these events. Spend it with the people you love, and have fun!
