Nov. 23rd is National Espresso Day! Espresso might be too bitter for some, but most UC Berkeley students definitely know how to appreciate coffee (especially during midterm and finals season). Different coffee beans have unique aromas and tastes, and the quality of your coffee can vastly differ based on what beans you use. Take this quiz to find out what coffee bean you are!

    1. Arabica beans — You’re the one that everyone loves: sweet and friendly. Arabica beans are the most common coffee beans in North America, and most cafés use these beans to brew their coffee! You’re there for anyone when they need you. 
    2. Robusta beans — You have a strong personality, and everyone respects you for that. Known for their especially strong flavor, Robusta beans are mostly used for instant coffee or espresso. If people need someone on their side, you’re the person they go to.
    3. Liberica beans — You’re the weird, quirky friend. Liberica beans are the rarer coffee beans, known for their unique, woody flavor. You attract a lot of people with your personality, and people can’t help but fall in love with you. 
    4. Excelsa beans — You’re the bright friend. Known for their fruity and tart flavor, Excelsa beans attract many coffee lovers from around the world. You shine a positive light on everything, and people love you for that.
