UC police alert community about strong-arm robbery at Valley Life Sciences Building

A strong-arm robbery took place at UC Berkeley’s Valley Life Sciences Building Wednesday night, according to a crime advisory Nixle alert from UCPD.

According to the alert, a female victim was was walking by the Valley Life Sciences Building at about 8:17 p.m. when she was robbed of her cellphone. After a struggle with the victim, the suspect fled on foot.

UCPD officers responded, locating the suspect walking near Spieker Plaza. The suspect was arrested on suspicion of robbery after a preliminary investigation, according to the alert. The suspect was identified as a 20-year-old man named Jordan Fleming from Richmond.
