Berkeley Police Department locates missing at-risk man

Updated 4/22/19: This article has been updated to reflect additional information from a Berkeley Police Department community alert.

Berkeley Police Department located 72-year-old Alfred Vital, who went missing earlier Monday, according to a BPD Nixle alert.

According to the alert, Vital was last seen about 11 a.m. Monday around the 2200 block of Ashby Avenue. The alert said Vital is 5 feet 8 inches tall, about 160 pounds and uses a wheelchair.

Vital was considered to be at risk because he has a medical condition and was without his medication. According to the alert, Vital had last been seen wearing a gray shirt and pants.
