Cal men’s basketball’s freshman center Connor Vanover will be out against Fresno State after suffering a broken nose and concussion against Cal Poly. The freshman remains in concussion protocol.

In the first half against the Mustangs, Vanover collided with the shoulder of Junior Ballard, instantly going down and bleeding.

Vanover has started the last two games for Cal and is averaging 4.1 points and 1.4 rebounds per game and is shooting 55.6 percent from the field.
