A laptop was stolen from a customer Monday evening at Sack’s Coffee House, located on College Avenue and Derby Street.

About 7:30 p.m., two young men entered the cafe and stole the laptop from a table before running down Derby Street while another patron chased them. The two men got into a car that pulled up and drove them toward Telegraph Avenue.

Berkeley police arrived shortly after.

These incidents have been occurring more frequently during the past three months. This theft is the latest in a string of laptop thefts, including the theft of four laptops stolen at Caffe Strada, another coffee shop, and the theft of two laptops from Cafe Blue Door.
