Grab some friends and fill your souls and stomachs this week during Berkeley’s annual Restaurant Week, which takes place until Jan. 28. The dinner and lunch menus of Berkeley’s Restaurant Week include a variety of cuisines that emphasize and celebrate locally sourced and seasonal dishes for you to enjoy!

Gather Restaurant

Stop by Gather to feast upon a guilt-free meal of planet-friendly pizzas, salads and sandwiches created from sustainable ingredients sourced farm-to-table.

Gio’s Pizza & Bocce

Gio’s historical significance as the former longest-standing restaurant on Shattuck Avenue serves as a rich background to the restaurant’s flavorful Italian cuisine. It also doesn’t hurt that Gio’s possesses one of the greatest amaro and vermouth collections in the East Bay for you and your friends to enjoy this weekend.

Lucia’s Berkeley

Head over to Downtown Berkeley to experience Lucia’s specialty Neapolitan pizzas. Though the techniques for creating these pizzas may be traditional, the flavors will prove anything but.

Revival Bar+Kitchen

Looking for a luxurious night out? Check out Revival on Shattuck Avenue this week and pair the restaurant’s locally sourced and seasonal plates with its inventive cocktails.

If you’re craving Middle Eastern food, Saha is the place to go. Saha has wonderfully flavorful dishes crafted from Yemeni and Arabic cuisines. The restaurant’s menu is informed by a philosophy of sustainability from its entrees to its wines.

Maker’s Common

Cheese lovers, this one’s for you. Maker’s Common has all the savory cheeses and charcuterie that you could desire. Its menu isn’t limited to cheese and charcuterie — it includes salads, sandwiches, beers and wines as well.

Saturn Cafe

Take a quick stroll to visit one of Berkeley’s most classic vegetarian and vegan restaurants. With Saturn Cafe’s tasty foods and spunk, it won’t be long before you come back wanting more.

Le Bateau Ivre

La Note may be the only French restaurant we are familiar with, but we encourage you to become acquainted with Le Bateau Ivre. The restaurant has been serving traditional French cuisine paired with live music since 1972.

If you feel you don’t have the time to explore some of Berkeley’s finest sustainable restaurants, you can pop by Free House, located right next to campus. Free House is perfect for a chill night out with friends to grab some food and drinks after a long day of class.

Love Korean food? Love American food? Try Berkeley Social Club’s unique take on modern foods inspired by Korean and American cuisine. While you’re there, you may want to try its famed “millionaire’s bacon.”
