It’s August! Let’s celebrate!

August 1 is Respect for Parents Day – Today, call your parents! Tell them you love them and respect any sacrifices they’ve made to help you get to UC Berkeley.

August 2 is National Ice Cream Sandwich Day – To celebrate this day, head over to CREAM for an ice cream sandwich, particularly with Creamfetti cookies and chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream.

August 3 is National Grab Some Nuts Day – This day is either for grabbing some nuts from the NutHouse! Granola Company, or scratching your balls, either way.

August 4 is National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day – Get chocolate chip cookies at Tender Greens for a surprisingly dank treat.

August 5 is National Underwear Day – Head over to Beauty and Attitude and treat yourself to some undies and serve some sass!

August 6 is Fresh Breath Day On this day, do some meditation in a quiet place and breathe in some fresh air outdoors.

August 7 is National Lighthouse Day Instead of dragging yourself to an actual lighthouse, go to Quinn’s Lighthouse for a bomb meal and a seaside view.

August 8 is National Sneak Some Zucchini Into Your Neighbor’s Porch Day – This day is either wildly perverted or a day for you to show your neighbor some love with some zucchini from Berkeley Bowl.

August 10 is National S’more Day  Order a s’mores crepe from Crepevine and bask in the indulgence.

August 11 is National Presidential Joke Day No need to celebrate because our president is already a joke!

August 12 is National Bowling Day Today, spice things up at Albany Bowl!

August 13 is National Prosecco Day Make bad decisions on this day while feeling bougie!

August 14 is National Creamsicle Day – Go to iScream for some creamsicle-flavored ice cream.

August 15 is National Relaxation Day – Take this day to relax because school starts in eight days!

August 16 is National Rum Day – Make bad decisions on this day, but this time, while feeling like a pirate!

August 17 is National I Love My Feet Day – Another one of the slightly pervy days of August, but use it as an opportunity to give your feetsies some love.

August 18 is National Fajita Day Fill your tummy with some fajitas from Cancun Sabor Mexico.

August 19 is National Soft Ice Cream Day Get some soft serve at McDonalds and live life to the fullest, baby.

August 20 is National Radio Day Take this day to give some love to KALX, the UC Berkeley and listener-supported radio station.

August 21 is National Brazilian Blowout Day Give yourself a new look at the Dry Bar in SF.

August 22 is National Pecan Torte Day Get wildin’ in the kitchen and make this recipe.

August 22 is also National Ride the Wind Day – Go sailing and be free.

August 23 is National Waffle Day Go to Little Gem Waffles, we recommend the Gempire State of Mind.

August 24 is National Secondhand Wardrobe Day Save the planet and your wallet by buying some vintage clothes at Buffalo Exchange.

August 25 is National Women’s Equality Day Check out the GenEq Center at UC Berkeley and strive for a more equal society!

August 26 is National Just Because Day These national holidays days are ridiculous, so if you take these seriously, you may have some re-evaluating to do.

August 27 is National Cherry Turnover Day Go to the Butcher’s Son for a delightful cherry turnover.

August 28 is National Chop Suey Day Go to Great China and chomp away, dude.

August 29 is National Toasted Marshmallow Day Okay, there are no toasted marshmallows in all of Berkeley, so just get some damn marshmallows and toast them yourself, aight?

August 30 is National Matchmaker Day This is the day to embarrass your two of friends. Enjoy!

Turn up, Bears!
