UCPD responds to stabbing at People's Park on Monday evening

UCPD responded to a report of assault with a deadly weapon at People’s Park on Monday evening about 5:00 p.m., according to UCPD spokesperson Sgt. Sabrina Reich.

A 57-year-old male was stabbed in the neck by a female suspect. According to a statement made by the victim to an individual not involved in the assault, the suspect is known to the victim.

The victim did not seek prosecution and has been transported to a local hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening injury.

UCPD searched the area but has yet to locate a suspect.
