A female UC Berkeley student was sexually assaulted Monday night in an area near campus, according to a UCPD crime alert.

The victim met the suspect on the Internet and met with the suspect at an off-campus location in the city, according to the alert. Soon after meeting, the victim was allegedly sexually assaulted by the suspect. The suspect was described as a 26-year-old Hispanic male, according to the alert.
