This year’s San Francisco Pride was a weekend to remember. The event expressed levels of love, empowerment and, well, pride, shared and celebrated by the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community and its allies. The theme of this year’s Pride Parade was “Equality Without Exception.” With the Supreme Court’s Friday decision to declare same-sex marriage a constitutional right, the United States has taken a big step — though far from the last step — in truly achieving equality without exception.
