A female student was allegedly sexually assaulted inside a campus residence hall, according to a UCPD crime alert released Friday.
A campus security authority reported the incident to UCPD on Thursday.
The student was at a fraternity party before she was escorted to her residence hall by a male student. The male student then allegedly sexually assaulted her inside the dormitory.
Police currently have no more details regarding the incident, and no victims or witnesses have contacted UCPD as of Friday afternoon.
Campus security authorities include campus officials who oversee campus activities and students and are responsible for recording certain crimes from employee and student accounts and reporting them to UCPD. Authorities include Greek community coordinators and resident advisors.
UCPD requested that those with any information regarding this crime contact the UCPD Criminal Investigation Bureau at 510-642-0472 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 510-642-6760 at all other times.
