Once upon a time, a night of trick-or-treating and a bucket full of candy was the best part about Halloween. In college, our priorities have been rearranged. We know what’s really important on Halloween: $3 burritos at Chipotle.
Yup, that’s right: It’s that time of year when Chipotle sells $3 burritos to people who show up in costumes. From 5 p.m. to close, you can score a $3 burrito if you show up in a costume — any costume.
Having trouble finding a Halloween costume? Why not wrap yourself in tin foil and call yourself a burrito? Or, you could tease out your hair, show up in your rattiest sweater and be a cat lady. Or draw on a curly mustache with eyeliner and claim to be your evil twin. It doesn’t have to be too creative — the goal is to get a discounted burrito, not win a costume contest.
In fact, you could probably come up with a fairly decent costume while waiting in line. You’ll be there long enough, anyway.
So wipe the dust off your witch’s hat and staple some paper circles onto your hairband (I’m a mouse — duh). You’ve got a $3 burrito to steal. And try to show up early, will you? Procrastination is way more devastating when there’s a cheap burrito on the line.
