Five individuals reported that they were given “roofies” and were sexually assaulted at the Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity, according to a report received by UCPD. The sexual assaults occurred between Friday and Sunday.

The Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity is not recognized by UC Berkeley and is located on the intersection of Piedmont Avenue and Bancroft Way. The report was sent to UCPD by a campus security authority — an individual or organization associated with the campus that is mandated to report crimes to campus police.

UCPD provided the information to Berkeley Police Department, which had not received reports of the assaults. The fraternity is located in BPD’s jurisdiction.

UCPD requested that those with information about these crimes contact BPD at 510-981-5900.
