While Snapchat and Facebook are great ways to share photos, Instagram is where the professional filters and high-quality iPhone imaging come in. There’s no better way to get more Instagram followers than by taking pictures of these beautiful spots on campus, #nofilter needed.
1. The Golden Gate Bridge from the Campanile steps
It’s like a secret viewing spot that makes the bridge look beautiful in the distance. Climb up to the base of the Campanile to find the Golden Gate Bridge tucked away in the distance. The best time to do this is at sunset.
2. The ceiling of Doe Library
It may be associated with finals-week stress, but this library actually has a really neat Victorian look for a great vintage-style picture. It was designed by the winner of an architectural competition, so you can’t go wrong!
3. The Greek Theatre — especially when it’s full of concert fans
There are concerts at the Greek Theatre all year long with artists such as Lorde lined up to perform. It’s like being in the middle of Times Square on New Year’s Eve … but in Greece.
4. Bowles Hall
While Bowles may seem like just another dorm, it’s actually meant to resemble a Tudor-style castle and was donated to the university in order to promote camaraderie. Also, it looks gorgeous on Instagram.
5. Sather Gate
While Sather Gate is a classic emblem of UC Berkeley, it looks fairly different up close.
