Two men robbed a UC Berkeley student near California Hall on Saturday night.
The victim, an 18-year-old male, was sitting on a ledge on the east side of California Hall when he was approached by two men about 11:30 p.m., according to a UCPD crime alert released Monday. They asked the victim for the time, and one of the men demanded his possessions. The men attempted to take the victim’s iPhone, but the victim shielded himself with his skateboard and pushed the perpetrators away. He let go of the skateboard and ran. The two men fled with the skateboard.
UCPD searched the scene but could not locate the perpetrators. The victim was not injured during the encounter.

Suspect No. 1: A white male, 5-foot-10 in height with a medium build and curly blond hair, wearing black clothing.
Suspect No. 2: A white male, 5-foot-10 in height, wearing black clothing and a hooded sweatshirt over his face.
