If you have a professor who doesn’t mind laptops open during lecture, we know you’ve been tempted to open that AirBears connected browser and click the boredom away. So if you’re going to take a bite of the forbidden Internet fruit, at least be more creative than just Facebook and open some fun sites! We at the Clog are offering a wacky version of school spirit with the following suggestions.

1. UC Berkeley Memes. OK, we know we just said to look for something other than Facebook. But if you haven’t already liked this group, they’ve got all your favorite memes from a Berkeley angle. Awkward penguin being awkward on Sproul? Yes, please.

2 and 3. whatshouldberkcallme.tumblr.com or yougotocal.tumblr.com. Both sites are based on the #whatshouldwecallme Tumblr site but feature GIFs catered specifically to us Berkeley folks! Moving pictures, text AND Cal jokes, all in one!

4. Jester: The Online Joke Generator. Get this: 14 years ago, a Berkeley professor came up with a site that attempted to predict what sort of jokes you’ll like. You get to rank which of the sample jokes you find funniest, and then it’ll give you a personalized set of jokes. We can’t even begin to imagine how sparse laughter must have been in this professor’s day.

5. Cal Boobs. No, you didn’t read that wrong. There is actually a Twitter page dedicated entirely to Golden Bear boobs. It encourages the campus’s fine ladies to send in their favorite pictures and show “school pride.” We don’t know who came up with such a charming notion, but Berkeley isn’t alone. UCLA and Indiana University seem to have similar ideas of school spirit in the Twitter universe. Who knows what they’ll come up with next.
